UK Visit Visa

The UK visit visa is also known as the UK Standard Visitor Visa.  A visa, which allows people to travel to the United Kingdom on the purpose of tourism, visiting family friends, professional reasons, and medical treatments.

With a Standard Visitor visa, you can apply any of the following in the UK –

• An academic from an academic institution overseas can take part in formal exchange arrangements or carry out their own research during a sabbatical
• A dentist or senior doctor can take part in research, teach, or undertake clinical practice (as long as it’s not on a permanent basis)

If you need a Standard Visitor visa, you must apply online before you travel to the UK and attend an appointment at a visa application center. The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel. You must meet the eligibility requirements .

It will not take more than 15 days to process the visa, provided all supporting documents are submitted correctly. You also have the option of availing fast track services where your visa application will be processed in just 24 hours but for such speedy services you will have to pay extra.

UK provides short term visa upto 6 months validity, long term visas upto 2 Years, 5 years and 10 years.

The documents needed to support the UK Visit Visa process are:

• The online form of UK Tourist Visa Application Form VAF1A.
• Fee receipts.
• Valid passport.
• Proof of funds to support the stay in the UK.
• Your last 10 years of travel history.
• 2 recent photographs as per the guidelines of the UK government
• Bio metric information.
• Letter of Invitation.
• Your language skills certificate.
• Medical certificates, stating that you are fit to travel to the UK.
